NATIONAL : Two PhD scholars from the Department of Hepatology at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences have bagged top honours at the prestigious 6th National Conference on Critical Care and Infections in Liver Diseases (CCILBS 2025), organized by the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS), New Delhi held on April 26–27, 2025, at The Grand, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi.
Ms. Gowripriya Nair and Ms. Arathi Venu secured the first and third prize respectively for oral presentation of their original research papers, presented under the mentorship of Dr. Arun K. Valsan. Dr. Sudhindran S, Dr Priya Nair, Dr. Zubair Mohamed and Dr Rajat were the other mentors.
The Hepatology division at Amrita is one of the very few specialized liver units in India focused on treating critically ill liver patients and also furthering cutting edge research in liver disease.
